Today was gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous. The sun was shining and it got up to 60°. Allie is recuperating nicely from surgery. Both of her back legs are bandaged and we have to keep Glad “Press N Seal” on them in order to keep them dry when she goes outside. She is so good about letting us put it on and take it off, and she doesn’t pick at it. She barely has an incision on her tummy. If I ever have a hysterectomy I want her doctor to do it.

But of course what started out as a great day turned. First my orthopedist is making me have a nerve test on my hand before he does surgery. Thankfully he felt bad for me and prescribed a Valium for me. The last nerve test I had done 8 years ago was bad enough and my hand wasn’t nearly as bad as it is now. Than I go to the eye doctor and he tells me that my eyes are getting “Tired”. (At least I didn’t have to have bifocals yet).

And of course Gary is with me through all of this and his eyes are just fine. I feel like he should go out and and shoot me some-days. Isn’t that what they do to “Old Mules”?

On Sunday, I made to wonderful deserts. They were so good that Gary wanted me to make more ice cream tonight, I really hope he’s not too upset when he gets home from work and there isn’t any. They are both light and full of wonderful flavor. I hope you enjoy them.

Yummm… You are so lucky that you get free cream!! What about cheese curds??? Oh man.. I could live on those things! Have you ever melted them on crackers in the microwave? I love those squeaky things. (I bet they’d even be good on rice crackers!) I hate buying cream.. its so expensive. Except when I buy it at costco.. But then it usually goes bad.. I can’t wait to make homemade ice cream. (We have an ice maker in our new house.. so i’ll be all over it!!!)

We had the same weather on Sunday. It was so wonderful! Now the blast of winter is back. I think you all get what we get a couple days later. The desserts look wonderful and I’m glad Allie is doing well. I know it’s hard having them spayed. She will be bouncing around in no time!
