First, I am on day 10 of no voice. I have just finished a prescription for Amoxicillin and still no voice. I am patiently waiting for my doctor to call me. I spent this summer helping plan a surprise “25th Wedding Anniversary” party for Gary’s sister and her husband.  I put together a video of their life and even included a special video from our family from France in it.  It was one of the most stressful things I have done in a long time.  I finished it about 2 hours before the party.  Everyone loved it.  Now I need to finish it with pictures from the party.  Maybe by Christmas, I’ll have it complete.  Here are some pictures from the party: Happy Couple on their way to the Alter This was the happy couple on the way to the Alter.  Oh, did I forget to mention we even made them renew their vows.  We even included in the vows that Mike has to put up the Christmas decorations 2 weeks before Christmas and not watch the Sci-Fi channel so much when Laura is around.   It was so sweet.  I don’t know if I could ever get Gary to do this. Mr. & Mrs. Manners (Again) Myself, Gary’s Aunt Jackie and Gary.  I’m not sure what was going on with my hair obviously I never looked in a mirror. I don’t know about anyone else, but my garden was awful this year.  We had rain consistently this summer  and my garden just did not like it.  I was able to grow one green pepper.  One!  That’s it.  And wouldn’t you know it, Allie ate it before I could get to it.  I have a lot of tomatoes but nothing compared to past years.  Our garden is well fertilized so I know that is not the problem.  We live on a farm and have that deep rich black dirt from the cows.  Oh well, we’ll try again next year. Labor Day weekend we had a corn roast.  I love corn roasts!  There is no other way to eat corn on the cob.  Camdyn and Tavyn were the sweethearts of the day. \ Last Friday was pretty exciting for our family. My younger sister, Charity, had her baby. A beautiful baby girl, Sarah Rose. Sara is gorgeous and healthy. Gary picked two big 5-gallon buckets of pears.  So that was the order for yesterday.  Mom and I canned 26 quarts of pears.  Thank God for mom.  I’m not very domestic on some things.  I know I can do it but it is so much easier with mom. And finally on the Gary and the doctor controversy, yesterday Gary had to go have a CT scan done on his head.  About eight years ago, he was in bad farming accident, Gary versus the Round Bailer, and ended up with a cracked skull among MANY other things.  Keep your fingers crossed that the tests come back normal. Can you believe it I just wrote this and did not include one picture of Allie?  I dont’ even have a new one to include.  Better get the camara out. Bye for now…

I love this video of Miss Allie and my sister-in-laws new pup, Piper.  You will hear me also go into a panic in this video.  The reason for that is that Piper was only about 6 weeks old, 1.5 lbs. and had just got out the hospital a couple days before for what the vet thinks was a collapsed lung.  But as you can tell from this video he had no side effects from it.  The only thing Miss Allie wanted to do was chew her bone.

I have to bitch for a while.  Recently Gary decided that he hasn’t been feeling quite himself and wanted to go see his doctor for a physical.  Now let me just start by saying this is the same doctor that he has been going to for over 20 years.  Gary is a pretty healthy person, except for the occasional farm accident, and seldom goes to the doctor.  Anyways, he calls makes an appointment and then today we get this letter in the mail.

“We can only give you a tentative time because you are not the doctor’s patient until the day of your appointment.  We will call in the morning to confirm that you are coming and enter you in the computer.  It is very important that we talk to you the morning of your appointment.  If we can’t reach you the doctor will assume you are not keeping your appointment.”

This burns my ass.  This doctor wants everyone to come and see him every 6 months so that you don’t get “Lost” in the computer.  WTF!!!  In this area it is very hard to find doctors that will take new patients.  Well no wonder they are too busy seeing patients that are perfectly healthy and charging the insurance companies and the welfare system for it.  Nobody gives two thoughts about this they just go.  What a “RIP OFF”.  I so want to call this doctor and tell him what I think. Does anyone else have to go through this?
