A new year a new start. The year 2008 seems to be ending a little on the rough side. Christmas night Gary decided it would be a good time to get a kidney stone. Needless to say the kidney stone was not the only thing the doctor found. Gary is also pre-diabetic. I have enough trouble keeping myself on a gluten free diet and now I have to watch his diet also. Oh man this is going to be interesting. This is going to take a lot of team work. This is how we are starting out our 2009.
My one and only resolution for this year was to keep up on everyones sites that I love to read and I have already blown that. Cripes! I started writing this 6 days ago and I am only this far.
An update on my voice, it is sort of back. I have my tonsils on on the 20th. So while my favorite nephew is at Obama’s inauguration, (yes he was able to get tickets, I am so happy for him) I will be in the hospital getting the ol’ tonsils out. Ughh! My mom wants me to recuporate at her house for a few days so that I’m not alone while Gary is at work at night and I don’t think that Gary is too happy about this. Why would he be upset? I’m having trouble comprehending this. You would think that he would feel better not having to worry about me or take care of me. Besides that I know my mom will cook for me. Gary would never do that.
I am leaving you with a couple of new pictures of Sarah. And I promise that I will post new recipes once I am fully recovered from my surgery. In the meantime, have a wonderful New Year!

Good luck to ya with your upcoming surgery. I had mine out when I was six and had tons of icecream and popsicles and stayed out of school for two weeks driving my mom crazy.
Going to your mom’s sounds like comfort food for the recovering. Nice that hubby likes having you around but having mom hovering sounds like the best way to go. Just my two cents. HUGS
