I can’t believe I haven’t post since the beginning of January. Time has flown this year.
Good news is that I finally have a voice again. As you may recall, I lost my voice on September 8 just out of the blue. On January 20th while everyone else was watching the inauguration of our new President I had my tonsils removed. I’ll admit it was awful but I am so glad that I had it done. The worst part of the whole ordeal was the ear pain. I can’t even describe what it was like. After the third day of recovery I thought “This is a piece of cake.” Then came day four and as my friend Tammy described it it’s like having someone shove screwdrivers into your ears. Thank god for the liquid Lortab and the ice packs.
That is really the only thing that has been going on with me. Work is incredibly busy this time of year, I haven’t been baking or cooking. Hopefully that is going to change.
The seed catalogs are arriving in the mail everyday and I’m planning my garden. I get so anxious this time of the year to get my garden started and I still have a good three months to wait. It’s not fair.
I will leave you off with some new photos of Sarah. She is 5 months this month and just beautiful.
I better not end this post without sharing a new picture of Allie also. We wouldn’t want her to feel left out, because in our house “It’s All About Allie”.

WOW! Sarah is so beautiful!!!! What’s she doing in …say.. .20 something years?? Any chance she’ll make her way to Utah? I just happen to know a handsome fella that is just slightly younger and happens to love the older ladies!
(Imagine the hair on the babies those two would have!!)
(Did I really already think about my son having babies with someone… geez… slow down there Ryley!)
just curious if the doctors ever said why you lost your voice in the first place? I am on day 4 of having lost mine.
Christy, The doctors still aren’t quite sure but they also treated me for acid reflux right before I had the surgery. We’re not sure if it was the tonsils or the acid reflux medicine that helped it. They way I understand it if you have acid reflux it will burn your vocal cords but once you start taking the medicine if that is the cause it will clear up. I’m just thankful the have it back. If I lose it again we’ll know it was the acid reflux.
Good luck on getting your voice back. I hope it doesn’t take as long as mine did.
Ryley: You never know were we will end up in about 20 years. Who knows maybe he will do his mission around here.
Two beautiful babies! (Sarah and Allie) I’m glad you are doing better and hopefully you will keep your voice!
