Sorry Betty, but I just can not give you an A on these cookies. I almost feel guilty about that since Betty Crocker made such an effort to enter the Gluten Free market. These cookies have a way to go before I would spend almost $5 on a mix.
The mix is simple with a stick of softened butter, vanilla and an egg. The mix will be crumbly and you just drop it by spoonfuls on the the tray. Right out of the oven, I was impressed they were delicious. My husband even liked them and he is very picky. My problem with these cookies is that they are terrible after they have sat overnight. They just crumble when you touch them. I brought a couple in a baggie and put in the desk at work to snack on. They are still there and it has been a week!!!
I will give them once more chance though and try them again and adjust something on them. My suggestion though is to beware they aren’t all they are cracked up to be. Keep trying Betty!

Lea, this review is spot on. I had the same experience with them. The good thing about this mix? The dough was good enough to steal a few nibbles, which is rare with some (most) gluten free flour mixes.
I tried the yellow cake mix, and I’ll give that a thumbs up. I also made the brownies, but that gets a thumbs down for the weird aftertaste and the too-cake-y texture/density (they ended up “cake like” like you can do with the regular mixes though that isn’t what I tried to do or even wanted to do).
I have a box of the devil’s food cake mix, too, but I haven’t made it yet. I’m saving it for when I want to make gobs (we call them that here, I think the rest of the world calls them whoopie pies? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whoopie_pie).
This is a great site. Wow, you really are helping people with this information. There is a lady I help out and she is an author and she also interviews companies and reviews GF products etc. I think you two should definitely hook up. She actually refers other helpful GF bloggers and sites on her gluten free blog and her gluten free site too. Let me know if you’d like to hook up and I can let her know. I think she would be interested in referring your site. Would you be interested in referring hers too? Thanks, Rosie http://www.GlutenFreeHelp.info
Oh I’m dissapointed to see you you didn’t like them I LOVED them!! They were so much easier than all the other gluten free recipies I’ve found and much less crumblier than some of the mixes I’ve found. I really really enjoyed these cookies. And I really liked the texture and the cookie dough before it was cooked! I didn’t like the brownies that much, but they were easy!
Try freezing the cookies. My husband uses Pamelas mix for all his gluten free cakes, brownies, etc. He freezes all and either leaves them out to defrost or microwaves them.
The taste is still great.
